Next I stumbled upon Launchbox and within a few minutes I had games up and running without the need for any convoluted guides or tutorials and I was instantly hooked. I then gave Attract Mode a try which I did like for the most part but game management was annoying, adding and removing games was more work than it should have been. I then tried GameEX, while it wasn't overly bad it also wasn't very good either.

I tried the Maximus Arcade front end from X-Arcade since I got it free with my TankStick, hated that front end very much. I was starting to get annoyed with HS so I began looking into other front ends and tried most of them. I found it very clunky to use and setup, RocketLaunchers UI was a real pain to learn, though it is very powerful. I got back into the emulation scene a few years ago and with the help of a buddy of mine I spent about a month setting up HyperSpin. You are going to get biased opinions here obviously so I will just give you my story. This includes roms, bios and Launchbox cracks and license files.įeel free to discuss anything gaming and emulation related such as guides, tutorials, emulators, tips on improving the emulation experience, etc.
